Press calibration

Press Calibration is the whole process of bringing the printing press to a certain standard (e.g. ISO12647-2). Given a specific paper and ink combination, the correct ink layer thickness has to be determined and the corresponding CTP curves have to be calculated. This process is often done for a specific print test form.

A press calibration is typically necessary to print according to ISO12647-2 or other industry standards.
